Our commitment to your privacy
How 10acious collects, uses, and protects personal information, both yours, and the callers your Voice AI assistant serves.
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Overview
10acious ("we", "us", "our") provides AI-powered voice answering services to small businesses across Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and through the Voice AI assistants we set up for our clients, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We only operate in Canada, and personal information is stored on servers located in Canada. We have appointed a privacy contact responsible for our PIPEDA compliance, and we review this policy regularly.
Information we collect
Identity & contact data
When you submit the free-setup form we collect your business name, email address, and phone number so we can contact you and configure your assistant.
Call data
When our Voice AI answers calls on behalf of a client business, calls may be recorded and transcribed. Recordings and transcripts can contain caller names, phone numbers, appointment details, and the content of the conversation.
Technical & usage data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance purposes.
How we use information
- To respond to setup requests and deliver the Voice AI service
- To handle calls, take messages, and book appointments on behalf of client businesses
- To send lead notifications (SMS/email) to client businesses when their AI assistant captures a lead
- To improve the quality and accuracy of our Voice AI service
- To meet legal, accounting, and reporting requirements
We never sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use call recordings, transcripts, or any personal information to train AI models without explicit consent.
AI transparency
Because our product is an AI voice assistant, we hold ourselves to a high transparency standard:
- Callers know an AI is answering. Assistants are configured to identify themselves truthfully when asked, and clients can enable a disclosure notice at the start of each call.
- Recordings are disclosed. Where calls are recorded, callers are notified at the start of the call, consistent with Canadian call-recording consent requirements.
- Minimal collection. Assistants are configured to collect only the information needed to complete the task at hand, nothing more.
- No silent AI training. We do not use your customers' conversations to train AI models without explicit consent.
Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with consent, as PIPEDA requires. Depending on the situation, consent may be:
- Express: when you submit the free-setup form, connect a calendar, or opt in to marketing communications.
- Implied: when a caller phones a business that uses our service and the call is handled or a message is taken, or when an appointment is booked at the caller's request.
You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions, by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawal may limit our ability to provide the service.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymize it.
| Data type | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Call recordings | 30 days | Quality assurance & dispute resolution |
| Call transcripts | 90 days | Service delivery & client reference |
| Client contact information | Relationship + 1 year | Ongoing service provision |
| Lead notifications | 90 days | Lead follow-up by client businesses |
| Server logs | 6 months | Security & troubleshooting |
Service providers & data sharing
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us operate, each bound by confidentiality obligations and authorized to process data only on our instructions:
- Hosting & infrastructure: website and data hosting (Cloudflare Pages)
- Voice AI platform: real-time speech processing and AI conversation handling. Depending on your assistant's requirements, we use a mix of providers such as Retell, Vapi, and ElevenLabs
- Telephony provider: call and SMS delivery (e.g. Twilio)
- Email & notifications: delivering lead alerts and client communications
All data in transit and at rest is encrypted. We do not disclose personal information outside Canada without appropriate safeguards and, where required, consent.
Your privacy rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to:
Access
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, along with details of how it's used and disclosed. We respond within 30 days.
Correction
Ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
Withdraw consent
Withdraw consent to future collection, use, or disclosure at any time, subject to legal restrictions.
Complain
Raise a concern with us first, and if you're not satisfied with our answer, with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca, 1-800-282-1376).
Safeguards
We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity: encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access limited to team members who need it, and secure Canadian hosting. Access to call data is logged.
